Healthcare Coordinator
About the role
The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) plays a crucial role in partnering with supported Dentists to secure financial commitments from patients, ensuring they can begin the best course of treatment promptly. This role involves understanding and utilizing various financial options to support patient care, educating patients about treatment choices, overcoming common objections, and maintaining productive schedules.
Responsibilities
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework
- Gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the dentistry that the Dentist is diagnosing
- Achie proficiency in PDS system and tools, skills, and talents to assist patients in making informed decisions
- Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician on every exam patient
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options to provide patients with choices that fit their budget
- Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment
- Avoid delays by obtaining necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients who need this prior to treatment
- Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model both within the office and in referrals
- Participate actively in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
- Stay informed about business imperatives and how the role impacts key metrics and results
- Become knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, as well as state, federal, and other regulatory bodies
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
- Results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, and influencer
- Ability to multi-task, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and ability to handle confidential patient records
- Organized and detail-oriented individual capable of working in a fast-paced environment

Compensation Information
$18.00 - $25.50 / Hourly
