Healthcare Coordinator
About the role
The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) plays a crucial role in partnering with supported Dentists to secure financial commitments from patients, ensuring they receive the best course of treatment promptly. This position requires a strong understanding of various financial options, excellent communication skills, and the ability to overcome patient objections.
Responsibilities
- Understand and utilize financial options to support case acceptance
- Educate patients on treatment choices
- Overcome common patient objections
- Proactively keep Dentist’s schedules productive
- Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner
- Create a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and build Patients for Life (PFL)
- Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices
- Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools
- Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options
- Obtain necessary insurance pre-authorizations for patients
- Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model
- Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory bodies
- Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
- Build the financial understanding of team members, staff, and clinicians
- Manage extreme confidentiality of patient records
- Work in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Prior course work or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
- Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
- Results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, and influencer
- Ability to multi-task, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and ability to handle confidential patient records
- Organized and detail-oriented individual

Compensation Information
$18.00 - $25.50 / Hourly
