Healthcare Coordinator

About the role

The Healthcare Coordinator (HC) at Northwood Modern Dentistry partners with supported Dentists to help gain a financial commitment from the patient to start the best course of treatment with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Understand and utilize financial options to support case acceptance
• Educate patients on treatment choices
• Overcome common patient objections
• Proactively keep Dentist’s schedules productive
• Support each patient in a consultative and educational manner
• Create a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE) and Patients for Life (PFL)
• Model company culture, values, standards, and best operational practices
• Achieve proficiency in PDS system and tools
• Execute the HC Handoff in partnership with each clinician
• Be a Subject Matter Expert on all available financial options
• Overcome common patient objections to starting treatment
• Avoid delays in obtaining necessary insurance pre-authorizations
• Ensure the office exemplifies the Comprehensive Care Model
• Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings
• Demonstrate stewardship of the PDS Brand
• Become knowledgeable on the Mouth Body Connection
• Maintain an appropriate professional appearance and demeanor
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and regulatory bodies

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Prior course work or on-the-job training in the fields of dentistry, insurance, or business preferred
• Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurances
• Results-oriented, patient advocate, process-focused operator, financial acumen, and influencer
• Ability to multi-task, excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, and confidentiality handling
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Pay

$16.50 - $23.00 / Hourly

Schedule
