About the role

We are in search of talented individuals for a career in healthcare performance measure auditing as an Auditor II in HSAG’s Audits department within the Data Science & Advanced Analytics division. This role is a key contributor to projects spanning healthcare performance measurement, performing auditing, data validation, and performance measurement tasks under limited supervision.

Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of HSAG’s Audits department within DSAA
- Assist in the management of client contracts and lead small projects and tasks
- Assist in the management of supplemental Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS®) audit operations
- Serve as a lead auditor for non-HEDIS performance measure validation audits
- Act as a liaison between management, staff, and external agencies or organizations
- Lead project management tasks, including communication (written, phone, fax)
- Communicate with project partners, consultants, subcontractors, and other entities on audit and performance measure validation projects
- Maintain, tag, and sort project documents on SharePoint and HSAG networks following prescribed governance rules
- Prepare and submit project deliverables using appropriate mechanisms (electronic, hard copy, direct data entry)
- Develop and adhere to project timelines, identify process improvements, and implement quality improvement activities
- Meet deadlines and prepare deliverables, reports, and project documents accurately
- Develop and prepare written and data-oriented reports in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Conduct research via the Internet, including literature searches on clinical topics
- Participate in healthcare educational and training presentations
- Conduct Internal Quality Control (IQC) monitoring, present issues, and recommend solutions
- Serve as a key reference to HSAG staff and clients on HEDIS and non-HEDIS performance measures
- Represent HSAG professionally at all times
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, science, or healthcare-related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- At least three years of work experience in healthcare and a minimum of five years of total work experience
- At least two years of auditing experience and one year of experience as a lead auditor, with at least one year in HEDIS auditing and/or data validation
- Knowledge of performance measures and experience writing client reports
- Contract management and/or project management experience
Skills
- Proficient English/communication skills (public speaking, spelling, composition, grammar, proofreading, and editing)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to conduct research via the Internet
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work with multiple teams
