As a healthcare administrative associate, you'll play an important role by maintaining front-office workflow vital to optimizing the efficiency of the medical practice, clinic, and/or department. Strong communication skills required. Experience in a healthcare setting and patient scheduling preferred.

This position is full time, working Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. No holidays or weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Greets, screens, and provides service to patients and visitors.
  • Processes mail, fax, and other documents.
  • Maintains multi-line phone system/switchboard.
  • Schedules, registers, and checks patients in/out.
  • Maintains medical records.
  • Performs data management and spreadsheets.
  • Runs and maintains reports.
  • Performs charge entry.
  • Processes billing documents and researches and resolves issues.
  • Collects co-payments, deductibles, and other self-pay amounts at time of service.
  • Supports department operations, staff, providers, and leadership.
  • Effectively communicates department needs to Team Leads and Unit Director.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and patient movement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be customer driven, have strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and equipment.
  • Proficiency in computer data entry/keyboarding.
  • Ability to use electronic medical records.
  • Good organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software applications preferred (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multi-task.

Pay

Compensation Range: $16.18 - $22.65 per hour. Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience.
