About the role
The Commercial Lines Account Executive – Healthcare contributes to the growth and retention of the commercial lines department by supporting Sales and Service efforts for physician groups and individual physicians. This role involves extensive client contact and responsibility for account retention.
Responsibilities
- Develops relationships with key decision makers beyond the Producer’s relationship.
- Serves as the lead client contact for marketing and quoting strategy (new and renewal business).
- Gathers information for marketing and strategic planning on account dynamics.
- Responsible for Client Service Plan deliverables.
- Schedules and leads client meetings when needed (beyond email or phone communication).
- Conducts account rounds and acts as the communication coordinator for client awareness.
- Reaches out to the originating producer when additional support is required.
- Ensures clients are aware of HUB’s resources (minimum annually).
- Adheres to HUB Broker Standards and all processes within EPIC workflows without exception.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
- 5–10 years of experience as an Account Manager in commercial lines brokerage (equivalent combination of education and experience accepted).
- Large Commercial Account Experience required.
- Medical Malpractice experience required.
- P&C License required or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire.
- Advanced professional designation preferred (e.g., AAI, ARM, CIC, CPCU).
- Valid Driver’s License and dependable transportation.
- Some travel required by car to meet with clients and attend outside events.
Skills
- Communication/Language – Ability to read, interpret, and write routine reports and correspondence; bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
- Math – Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Reasoning – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; interprets technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
- Computer – Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and BMS (EPIC) workflows.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands to handle or feel.
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision.
