About the Role
We are seeking a self-motivated, entrepreneurial Healthcare Account Executive passionate about improving patient and staff experience through high-performance interior solutions. This role focuses on developing new business and building strong relationships within the healthcare sector, serving as a trusted resource and advocate for clients in environments where healing, safety, and care delivery are paramount. The Account Executive can be based in Orlando or Tampa, with a focus on growing business throughout Central Florida.
Responsibilities
- Be the face of American Interiors to healthcare clients—educate, advocate, and serve as a strategic resource.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the healthcare industry, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, senior living, behavioral health, and wellness facilities.
- Attend planning meetings with clients and A&D professionals to determine goals, care models, and functional requirements.
- Offer tailored furniture and interior solutions that support clinical workflows, infection prevention, safety, and patient/staff well-being.
- Collaborate with internal teams (design, operations, and project management) to develop proposals, respond to RFPs, and deliver turnkey solutions.
- Provide monthly sales forecasts and benchmark against annual sales goals, striving to meet and exceed targets.
- Utilize product and contract knowledge to deliver competitive, compliant offerings (e.g., GPOs, cooperative purchasing agreements).
- Stay informed of current trends and best practices in healthcare design, ergonomics, and evidence-based design.
- Represent American Interiors at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade associations relevant to the healthcare market.
- Thoroughly understand the products we offer—as well as those of our competitors—to support strategic positioning and differentiation.
- Utilize internal tools such as the product matrix, CRM, and visual presentation software to maximize project effectiveness.
- Regularly and consistently demonstrate American Interiors values and guiding behaviors.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service, presentation, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing multiple complex healthcare projects.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to clients promptly and professionally.
- Proficiency with technology platforms, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and healthcare specifications.
- Bachelor’s Degree in interior design, interior architecture, healthcare administration, sales/marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of B2B sales experience; healthcare or commercial furniture sales preferred.
- Familiarity with CET, Project Spec, and Visual Impressions a plus.
- Knowledge of MillerKnoll is preferred.
