The Plymouth YMCA is seeking an energetic and mission-driven Health & Wellness Director to lead all aspects of our wellness operation. From personal training and group exercise to healthy living initiatives and member engagement, this role has the opportunity to shape the wellness experience for thousands of YMCA members. Program/Department Responsibilities Direct Leadership and Supervision of the Health & Wellness Department to include Group Exercise Classes, Personal Training and Healthy Living Programming. Management and Coordination of the group exercise schedule of 80 plus classes weekly.Member App managementEstablishes annual departmental goals within context of agency goals and vision and ensure direct reports attain those goalsDevelops and recommends new programs, processes, partnerships, strategies and approachesEnsures smooth and effective operation of programs and exceptional customer serviceIncrease revenue and engagement in all areas of health& wellnessRecruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise health & wellness team. Fiscal Responsibilities Formulates and Manages the Health & Wellness budget to meet or exceed the budgeted numbers. Recommend better solutions to maximize efficiency wherever possible.Adhere to all fiscal policies and procedures. Requirements EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s strongly preferredExperience working in the Health and Wellness Field preferredAt least 5 years of supervisory experience preferredCPR/AED certifications requiredAbility to work and thrive as part of a cohesive teamStrong interpersonal, customer services and networking skills necessaryAbility to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessaryOccasional early morning, late nights and weekendsExcellent written communication skills and proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs
