Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group prevention and intervention services that promote students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.
- Assess students' emotional functioning, behavioral concerns, support systems, safety needs, and barriers to academic success.
- Develop and implement behavior support and intervention plans that encourage positive outcomes and self-determination.
- Facilitate skill-building and psychoeducational groups for at-risk students.
- Partner with teachers, school staff, and families to address concerns such as truancy, social withdrawal, disruptive behaviors, and the impact of family or environmental stressors.
- Respond to crises, provide verbal de-escalation, and assess student safety when needed.
- Advocate for students and connect families with appropriate school and community resources.
- Provide case management services, including referrals, care coordination, and collaboration with outside providers.
- Conduct home visits and community outreach as appropriate.
- Participate as an active member of a multidisciplinary team supporting student success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, or a related field.
- Two or more years of experience working in behavioral health, social services, education, or a related field.
- Current Ohio prevention credential (OCPSA, OCPS, or OCPC), or willingness to obtain the credential within the first year of employment.
- Ability to obtain Registered Applicant status within 90 days if not currently credentialed.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a school-based setting.
- Experience facilitating groups for children or adolescents.
- Knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, and behavioral interventions.

- Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Skilled at building positive relationships with students, families, educators, and community partners.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Calm and confident in crisis situations.
- Committed to maintaining confidentiality and practicing with professionalism and integrity.
- Proficient with electronic documentation and Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements
- This position regularly requires sitting, standing, walking, speaking, hearing, and working on a computer.
- Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.
