Health Unit Coordinator - Prep and Recovery - Providence Anchorage

About the role

We are hiring for a Health Unit Coordinator position at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK. Position is part-time, 0.5 FTE, Day Shift, 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team members to coordinate unit activities and flow of information between teams and other entities.
• Cross trains within the division to support needs of other units within division.
• Maintains a safe, hazard free and clean environment which facilitates quality patient focused care.

Requirements

• Completion of a Medical Terminology course within 90 days of hire.
• Satisfactory completion of Health Unit Coordinator training.
• Certified Health Unit Coordinator - National Association of Health Unit Coordinators.
• 6 months experience in health care activities or institutional setting.
