Work Schedule
- 80% FTE
- 32 hours per week
- Day/Evening position with variable (8) eight, and (12) twelve-hour shifts
- Every third weekend rotation required
- Hours may vary based on operational needs of department
- You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI
About the Role
Health unit coordinators play a key role on each unit, by providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients, families, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Answer phones
- Organize files
- Order supplies
- Handle correspondence
- Manage databases
- Provide general support to patients, family members and other staff
- Utilize excellent communication and organizational skills to support patient care
- Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate all aspects of patient care including patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and perform other duties of a clerical nature
Qualifications
- High School Diploma Required
- 1 year of experience in a medical or customer service environment or experience of a similar nature Required
- 1 year of experience in a medical environment Preferred
