Health Unit Coordinator-Neuro ICU

Schedule

0.60 FTE (24 hours per week). Day/Evening position with a mix of 8‑ and 12‑hour shifts (7 am‑3:30 pm, 3 pm‑11:30 pm, or 7 am‑7:30 pm). Some weekends required; hours may vary based on operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Manage and facilitate the day‑to‑day operations of the unit.
• Answer phones, organize files, order supplies, handle correspondence, and manage databases.
• Provide general support to patients, family members, and staff, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and perform other clerical duties with a high level of attention to detail.

Qualifications

• No minimum education required; High School Diploma preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical or customer‑service environment (required).
• Preferred: 1 year of experience specifically in a medical environment.
