About the role
At Monadnock Community Hospital (MCH) in Peterborough, New Hampshire, we are committed to improving the health and well-being of our community. The Emergency Department Unit Coordinator plays an essential role in ensuring the efficient operation of our Emergency Department.
Responsibilities
- Patient Support: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing compassionate and helpful assistance with scheduling, inquiries, and information dissemination.
- Administrative Efficiency: Manage office operations, including appointment scheduling, patient records, and office supplies. Maintain accurate and organized documentation.
- Communication Hub: Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals, ensuring clear and timely information flow.
- Billing and Insurance: Assist patients with billing inquiries, insurance claims, and payment processing, ensuring transparency and patient satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with medical staff to support quality improvement initiatives and ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care.
- Patient Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, addressing patient concerns and needs with empathy and professionalism.
- Uphold the values of MCH: Compassion, Collaboration, Honesty, and Respect.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Empathetic nature and genuine commitment to patient well-being.
- Proficiency in office software and electronic health record systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Valid New Hampshire state licensure as a Licensed Nursing Assistant.
