Health Unit Coordinator - Emergency Department

About the role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patient care in a high-pressure environment, providing clinical expertise, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care plans.
• Provide clinical guidance and supervision to nursing staff and other healthcare providers.
• Conduct regular assessments of patient conditions and make timely decisions based on medical evidence.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Minnesota.
• At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in computer systems used in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

• Experience with electronic health records (EHR).
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
