About the role

The role of Health Unit Coordinator, Adolescent Inpatient is responsible for coordinating care for adolescent patients in the inpatient setting. This position requires strong communication skills, clinical knowledge, and the ability to manage complex patient cases.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for adolescent patients.
  • Provide direct patient care, including medication management and monitoring vital signs.
  • Document patient progress in medical records and communicate with families and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Ohio.
  • At least 2 years of experience in adolescent health care or related field.
  • Experience working in an inpatient setting preferred.

Qualifications
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and mental health issues.

Skills
  • Proficient in electronic health record systems.
