Responsibilities

  • Aid anesthesia providers with quality control checks and document them according to JC and AABB guidelines.
  • Support anesthesia providers in ORs during induction and recovery, adjusting to hemodynamic changes as needed.
  • Monitor patients' vitals and assess for signs of distress such as labored breathing, depression, convulsions, hemorrhage, shock, and anxiety.
  • Remove and replace dirty anesthesia equipment with clean equipment between procedures.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment like oxygen analyzers, arterial lines, EKG electrodes, and battery-powered devices.
  • Carry out sterilization and sanitation procedures in the anesthesia area and throughout the ORs.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the anesthesia supply room, ORs, and surrounding areas.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience performing duties as described above.
