Health Tech Driver- Evening Shift

About the role

The Health Technician works closely with clients and clinical staff on an individual basis, providing assistance in driving, medication observation, medical appointment scheduling, and overall client health in an outpatient healthcare facility.

Responsibilities

• Observe clients, chart and report changes in condition (e.g., adverse reactions to medication), and take necessary action
• Provide collected medical data to clinical staff
• Document medication observations per company policy
• Measure and record clients’ vital signs
• Record data and communicate with physicians for medical clearance related to treatment, planning, and discharge
• Perform inventory checks and maintenance of nursing supplies and over-the-counter medications; request inventory and requisition supplies/instruments
• Complete client documentation and summary reporting at shift end
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ADA, and Joint Commission policies and procedures, including client and company confidentiality
• Adhere to professional ethics policies, including appropriate attire
• Attend in-service training, educational workshops, and staff meetings
• Assist clients with filling/refilling prescriptions
• Assist clients with making outside medical appointments and coordinate transportation
• Perform other duties as requested by leadership

Requirements

• Valid RADT-1 Certification upon hire
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record
• Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and hand-eye coordination for job duties
• Ability to sit at a desk, use a keyboard, write, and perform other job duties
• One year of experience preferred; experience in residential healthcare, behavioral health, mental health, hospital, or related fields preferred
• Basic computer skills; proficiency in electronic medical record systems preferred

Work Conditions

• 80–90% of time spent indoors or in an air-conditioned environment
• Ability to move up to 25 lbs
• Ability to remain working at a fixed computer workstation
