About the role

CoreCivic is currently seeking a Health Services Support Specialist located at our corporate office in Brentwood, TN. This position supports the Health Services management team and requires a hybrid work schedule of 4 days per week onsite and 1 day remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and update documents related to health services operations, including patient care metrics, health facility grievances, capital expenditures, and JD Edwards requisitions.
  • Review facility incident reports daily to ensure accuracy and policy adherence.
  • Generate necessary reports of various operational data.
  • Research and collect information as requested to support health services operations.
  • Provide guidance and direction to management staff in the operation of facility health services, including administration, coordination and review of medical, treatment and administrative programs.
  • Formulate and supervise the execution of facility health policies and procedures for proper operation in accordance with broad corporate policies and objectives.
  • Evaluate the results of overall operations regularly and systematically; report results as directed.
  • Evaluate facility staffing needs according to growth.
  • Prepare short term and long-range plans and budgets based on goals and growth objectives.
  • Prepare correspondence, statistical reports, and other documents; independently edit documents making necessary corrections or revisions to include spelling, grammar, and sentence structure.
  • Complete required forms, reports or records thoroughly, neatly and legibly and follow requirements for timely submission of documents.
  • Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in a Health Science or other related field.
  • Three years of professional correctional work experience.
  • Additional qualifying full-time professional correctional experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of four years.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
