Health Services Response Advisor - Reno, Nevada ($23/hour)

About the Role

This is an onsite Health Services Response Advisor position at a Best Buy Health location in Reno, Nevada. You will support both Consumer and Commercial PERS customers by receiving, evaluating, and prioritizing emergency and non‑emergency telephone and electronic requests for assistance. Duties include Operator Service assistance, manual phonebook updates, Lyft ride setup, and Directory assistance. The role requires adherence to prescribed protocols, compassion, and accuracy while maintaining composure in high‑stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of individuals reaching out for support—medical, social, or wellness—across urgent and routine situations.
• Respond to user‑ and system‑generated alerts pertaining to individual devices or Residential Living Facility devices with appropriate urgency.
• Advocate for members, triage calls, and report crisis situations to agencies such as Adult Protective Services and Public Safety Answering Points.
• Support transportation needs by dispatching Lyft rides for customers.
• Create accurate logs of all communications to ensure the safety and general needs of customers.
• Monitor member incidents in real‑time, responding to alerts and reports of non‑compliance, and collaborate with or escalate to clinical stakeholders as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of customer service and/or call‑center experience.
• Prior certification and/or successful completion of the CSA certification coursework upon hire (paid on‑the‑job training provided).
• Preferred: 2 years of call‑center experience.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience working in the healthcare and/or technology field.

Schedule

Health Services Response operates 24/7. Candidates must be able to work all shifts, including overnights and weekends. Additional shift‑differential pay is provided for overnight and weekend hours.
