Health Services Assistant - 6 hrs/day (Student Services)

Assesses and provides routine and urgent first aid, distribution of medications, and treatment of minor ailments/physical conditions to students as authorized by education code, policy, level of certification, and training by a licensed health care professional. Performs recurring clerical duties associated with setup and maintenance of health records, assistance with health screening and documentation of test results, and processing routine transactions.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
• Experience as a clinic medical assistant, nurse aide, or equivalent.
• First aid and CPR certificates.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.
• Proof of High School graduation (diploma, transcripts, or GED).
• Resume providing clear evidence of required experience.

Qualifications

• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
• Bilingual abilities are desirable, depending on District needs.

Pay

$23.03 - $30.49 per hour in 9 annual steps. Salary placement is based on relevant experience.

Schedule

• 6 hours/day, 5 days/week.
• 182 work days/year.
