The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking board eligible/certified Orthopaedic Trauma Surgeons for various ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series (Assistant, Associate, and/or Full Professor levels) and the Professor of Clinical "X" Series (Assistant, Associate and/or Full Professor levels). Applicants must hold an MD or MD/Ph.D. degree(s), be eligible for California Medical Licensure, and complete a Trauma Fellowship.

About the role

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Successful candidates will be expected to teach orthopaedic residents and medical students, demonstrate professional excellence, achieve academic milestones, and perform University and public service. They will also participate in call at the Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

  • Teach fellows, residents, and medical students in Orthopaedic Trauma surgery
  • Provide patient care
  • Contribute to scholarly activities
  • Perform University and public service
  • Participate in call at the Level 1 Trauma Center

Requirements

  • Demonstrated capabilities in Orthopaedic Trauma surgery
  • Experience teaching fellows, residents, and medical students
  • Eligible for California Licensure and Orthopaedic Board certification

Qualifications

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree(s)
  • Completion of Trauma Fellowship
  • Eligible for California Licensure and Orthopaedic Board certification
