About the role

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of California, Irvine, is seeking board eligible/certified Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Surgeons for various ranks in the non-tenure track Health Sciences Clinical Professor series and the Professor of Clinical "X" Series.

Responsibilities

• Take part in the teaching of orthopaedic residents and medical students
• Show professional excellence and academic achievement
• Participate in call at the Level 1 Trauma Center
• Deliver clinical services at multiple sites throughout Orange County
• Contribute to scholarly activities and public and University service

Requirements

• Hold an MD or MD/Ph.D. degree(s) and be eligible for California Medical Licensure
• Be Orthopaedic Board eligible/certified

Qualifications

• Demonstrated capabilities in the specialty of sports medicine
• Experience teaching fellows, residents, and medical students
• Provide patient care
• Contribute to scholarly activities
• Perform University and public service
