About the Role
The Sue & Bill Gross School of Nursing at the University of California, Irvine (UCI) is seeking stellar applicants for the position of Health Sciences Clinical Professors at the Assistant rank. Successful candidates will be responsible for teaching in the undergraduate and graduate level pre-licensure and DNP program. Faculty will also have the opportunity to practice in one of the UC Irvine Health ambulatory centers.
Requirements
- Candidates must have a PhD, DNP, EdD, or DNE and be a California licensed RN.
- Applicants should possess excellent oral and written communication, and clinical skills.
- Experience with clinical and didactic teaching in BRN approved medical surgical or obstetric nursing and evidence of scholarly activities in related fields.
- Multiple BRN specialty approvals preferred.
- Candidates must show evidence of collaborative interdisciplinary partnerships that advance the science of improving health outcomes for individuals, families, and communities, and of teaching the next generation of nursing professionals.
- Qualified applicants must have the demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of colleagues and to teach and mentor a diverse student body.
Responsibilities
- Teaching BS/MS Medical Surgical or Obstetric nursing and other courses in the Pre-Licensure and DNP programs
Qualifications
- Basic qualifications (required at time of application): Candidates must have a PhD, DNP, EdD, or DNE and be a California licensed RN.
- Evidence of teaching evaluations in the last 5 years.
- Certification in a nursing specialty.
- Must have BRN approval to teach Medical Surgical, or Obstetrical nursing.
