Responsibilities

  • Lead the administration and continuous improvement of the Learning Management System (LMS) for required safety training programs.
  • Manage and continuously improve one or more site-wide Health & Safety programs, serving as the program owner and subject matter expert.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, contractors, and leadership teams.
  • Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and mitigation efforts for manufacturing and administrative operations.
  • Carry out routine plant audits, inspections, and line walks to identify at-risk behaviors, unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, and regulatory compliance gaps.
  • Analyze safety performance metrics and trends, providing recommendations and action plans to leadership.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation to prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct and facilitate mechanical risk assessments, ergonomic evaluations, process safety reviews, and new equipment safety reviews.
  • Partner with Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and other departments to integrate safety into business processes and projects.
  • Lead emergency response planning, drills, critiques, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA requirements and company standards.
  • Support regulatory inspections, audits, and compliance reporting activities.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to Health & Safety team members and site personnel on safety-related matters.
  • Support new hire orientation, contractor safety programs, and ongoing safety culture initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects focused on injury prevention, risk reduction, and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent, relevant experience.
  • Professional certification such as ASP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, or equivalent preferred.
  • Construction Safety experience preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish or English/Korean preferred but not required.
  • 6+ years of progressive Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading safety programs, compliance initiatives, incident investigations, and risk reduction projects.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable state and local requirements.
  • Experience influencing leaders and driving safety culture improvements across multiple departments.
  • Experience supporting regulatory audits and inspections preferred.
