Health & Safety Specialist

About the role

A Health & Safety Specialist is needed to ensure workplace safety and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role involves conducting safety inspections, training employees on safety protocols, and addressing any hazards found.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards.
• Train employees on safety procedures and best practices.
• Develop and implement safety improvement plans based on inspection findings.
• Document all safety activities and incidents in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in emergency response drills and maintain an emergency action plan.
• Stay updated on new safety regulations and industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a standard Monday through Friday workweek.
