About the role

As a Health & Safety Specialist at Compliance Management International (CMI), you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our clients' workplaces. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct regular inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective measures to prevent accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement safety programs tailored to each client's unique needs and environments.
  • Train employees on safety protocols and emergency response procedures.
  • Collaborate with management teams to address safety concerns and improve overall workplace safety culture.
  • Keep abreast of new safety regulations and best practices through ongoing education and professional development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a similar discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the industrial or construction sectors.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required for travel to client sites.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The typical work schedule for this role is Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
