About the role
We are seeking a Mid-level Health & Safety Professional in the Tampa/Bradenton, Florida area.
Responsibilities
- Assessing health & safety needs and risks across multiple facilities
- Assisting in the implementation of safety programs and policies
- Creating systems, procedures, and tools for effective safety program implementation
- Working closely with the Senior O&M Safety Manager, O&M Health & Safety Specialists, and the VP of Health and Safety
- Conducting comprehensive safety audits
- Delivering impactful Health & Safety training sessions
- Developing and reviewing site-specific safety plans
- Participating in incident investigations
- Championing and driving H&S initiatives and culture
Requirements
- Health & Safety or related applied science degree
- At least ten years of progressive safety experience
- Functional knowledge of key occupational safety regulations and standards
- Practical application skills in Confined Space operations, Fall Protection protocols, and NFPA 70E electrical safety procedures
- Experience with water/wastewater systems is a bonus
Qualifications
- Effective communication skills in both oral and written forms
- Strong technology skills including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and related platforms/programs
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and make decisions
- Ability to travel up to 50% of time
Skills

$110,000 - $150,000 per year
