Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and manages company safety programs, policies, and procedures to create a safe work environment.
- Ensures compliance with statutory requirements (OHSAS 18001 & ISO 14001) and addresses regulatory issues.
- Supports and promotes safe practices and environmental commitments.
- Conducts pre-operational risk assessments and proposes risk mitigation measures.
- Trains and coaches local Health & Safety Managers.
- Coordinates with facility leadership and serves as a safety liaison.
- Conducts HSE audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Administers safety policies, programs, and systems for assigned regions.
- Fosters teamwork and maintains a positive safety culture.
- Coordinates HSE training and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the transportation of hazardous materials in compliance with EPA & DOT/IMDG/IATA regulations.
- Develops and implements a proper training regimen for employees handling Hazardous Materials.
- Assists in the investigation and analysis of accidents and near misses.
- Coordinates emergency procedures and ensures their implementation.
- Maintains risk registers and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Manages workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
- Prepares and maintains documents for proper storage and handling of Hazardous Materials.
Skills & Abilities
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a medium to large warehouse in a HSE management capacity supervising 5 or more associates.
- Bachelor’s Degree, in related field (Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene) preferred.
- Prior experience in safety observations/inspections, developing and implementing compliance strategies and plans.
- Knowledge and understanding of current Environmental / Sustainability Topics.
- Strong computer skills, proficient use of MS Office Applications.
- Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or similar certification preferred.
- Bilingual (Preferred).
- Intermediate mathematical skills, including the functional use of spreadsheets to develop trends and track reactions to safety programs.
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to extreme temperature changes, moisture, noise, odors, and moving equipment.
- Sitting at a computer for long periods of time.
- Lifting, pushing, pulling, and/or carrying up to 70 lbs.
- Performing other physical activities such as reaching, bending, and climbing.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel toe shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and any other PPE required by the safety analysis.
Work Environment

Pay
The expected base pay range for this position is $107,000.00 – $110,000.00. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
Schedule
This is a Full-Time position.
