About the role
Serves as the single point of accountability for the entire Owner’s Representative engagement for a global pharmaceutical client, directing all workstream leads, governing scope and schedule, managing the client relationship, and owning overall delivery outcome.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with senior leaders to deliver cost effective and efficient performance.
- Supports the implementation of health safety and wellbeing (HSW) policies, procedures, guidance notes and standards.
- Carries out audits and inspections on behalf of the business and assists with the resolution of non-conformities raised in third party audits.
- Participates in the development of new standards and ensures ongoing compliance.
- Analyses results of audits, corrective actions and key performance indicators (KPIs), identifies gaps for continuous improvement.
- Ensures Incident Investigations are completed on time and lessons are shared.
- Manages and provides leadership to a team of Managers and Professionals, ensuring the principles, structures, tools/capabilities and responsibilities are in place to deliver area plans and deliver excellence.
- Provides performance management, technical development and coaching.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and shares responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
Requirements
- Proven leadership in Health, Safety & Wellbeing (HSW), delivering compliance, audit excellence, and measurable performance improvements across projects.
- Strong expertise in HSW legislation, management systems, and certification, driving consistent implementation and continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in audit, assurance, and inspection activities, including resolution of non-conformities and embedding best practice.
- Demonstrated ability to lead risk management and incident investigations, using data and KPIs to drive proactive improvement.
- Effective people leadership, managing and developing high-performing teams through coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and present complex technical information clearly.
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, or related discipline, with ongoing commitment to continuous professional development.
