Health & Safety Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety audits, inspections, and field observations
• Support incident, near-miss, and hazard reporting reviews
• Maintain safety documentation, training records, and data tracking
• Participate in safety training sessions, toolbox talks, and meetings
• Aid in the development of safety communications and materials
• Improve/review/develop Emergency Action Plans and Job Safety Analyses
• Support special safety projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2027 semester
• Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
• PREFERRED MAJORS: Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Health & Safety, or related
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
