Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct HSE inspections of the facility and operations.
- Aid in conducting and documenting process risk assessments, including developing improvement actions to reduce risk.
- Develop HSE communications as necessary to inform site personnel of HSE priorities.
- Update the Emergency Response Manual.
- Develop, construct, and procure new employee HSE/Facilities/Security handbooks.
- Work with necessary department personnel to develop and implement the site Business Continuity Plan.
- Conduct HSE training sessions for site personnel.
- Provide general administrative support for the HSE department.
- Help the site prepare for the upcoming corporate HSE management system audit.
Required Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in health and safety, Environmental studies, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with a team.
Physical Requirements
Standard office environment.
