Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct HSE inspections of the facility and operations.
  • Aid in conducting and documenting process risk assessments, including developing improvement actions to reduce risk.
  • Develop HSE communications as necessary to inform site personnel of HSE priorities.
  • Update the Emergency Response Manual.
  • Develop, construct, and procure new employee HSE/Facilities/Security handbooks.
  • Work with necessary department personnel to develop and implement the site Business Continuity Plan.
  • Conduct HSE training sessions for site personnel.
  • Provide general administrative support for the HSE department.
  • Help the site prepare for the upcoming corporate HSE management system audit.

Required Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in health and safety, Environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with a team.

Physical Requirements

Standard office environment.
