About the role

Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children is Hawai'i’s only maternity, newborn and pediatric specialty hospital. It is well recognized as Hawai'i’s leader in the care of women, infants and children. The Health Records Representative position is available at Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women and Children.

Responsibilities

• Respond to patient records requests and inquiries in a helpful, friendly and professional manner.
• Provide patient information.
• Aid patients with birth/death certificates and submit information to the Hawaii State Department of Health.
• Always comply with policies to safeguard the confidentiality of patient information.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
• High school or equivalent education.
• One (1) year clerical experience in a position with customer contact.
• Medical record background and computer knowledge.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
