Health Program Advisor
About the role
Join the Distribution Services Section in Covered California’s Outreach and Sales Division. This position is ideal for someone with strong critical thinking and analytical skills, a self-starter with outstanding attention to detail, and a passion for improving user experience processes to support Covered California certified enrollers.
Responsibilities
- Assess key health program, system, and implementation issues.
- Identify gaps, enhancements, and design elements in the California Healthcare Eligibility and Enrollment Retention System (CalHEERS) and the Enroller Portal.
- Interpret and evaluate health policies and programs.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to solicit and analyze user feedback to inform system changes.
- Provide continued program and technical guidance, expertise, and support to the organization and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience/knowledge of healthcare industry programs and policies.
- Experience/knowledge of technical and functional design processes.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to present complex technical information in an easily understood way.
- Self-starter with strong project management skills and outstanding attention to detail.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications for Health Program Specialist (as per CalHR Public Portal).
Pay
New to State candidates will be hired into the minimum salary of the classification or minimum of alternate range when applicable. Salary range for Health Program Specialist I: $6,623.00 - $8,290.00 per month.
