Job Summary

Hybrid Work Environment - Must reside in Hawaii
Pay Range: $53,000 to $99,000, position is eligible for an incentive bonus
Note: Individuals typically begin between the minimum to middle of the pay range

Responsibilities

  • Supports HMSA's overall sales strategies by strategically servicing the benefit and health plan education needs of our employer groups and their employees and optimizes selling opportunities during those interactions.
  • Captures and coordinates open enrollment presentations, Group Leader Workshop sessions, and seminars.
  • Utilizes mass marketing communication vehicles such as webinar platforms, videos, direct mail, email, social media etc. to educate HMSA's group membership on the value of HMSA and their specific employer benefit packages and how to make the most of their health plan.
  • Regularly visits employers (in-person and/or virtual), including travel to the neighbor islands, and handles the service and escalation needs of our employer group contacts, key decision makers, consultants, and group members.
  • Conducts benefit and health plan education, develops relationships, fosters marketing potentials, helps retain existing members, and acquires new business for HMSA.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree and one (1) year of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Outlook/Email and PowerPoint.
  • Active license with the state of Hawaii Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs or pass all four sections of the state licensing examination within three months of hire date.
  • Having an active license to sell Health, Life and Group Insurance products in the state of Hawaii is a condition of employment.
  • Requires regular employer and customer visits (in-person and/or virtual), including travel to the neighbor islands, and handling the service and escalation needs of our employer group contacts, key decision makers, consultants, and group members.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, with access to an automobile with current license, registration, and no-fault insurance.
