Health Planner 2
About the role
We'll count on you to provide planning, design and coordination support on projects, engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings. Prepare drawings and specification documents. Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials. Assist the lead Health Planner in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives. Assist the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning.
Responsibilities
- Provide planning, design and coordination support on projects
- Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings
- Prepare drawings and specification documents
- Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials
- Understand healthcare trends
- Aid in the preparation of presentation drawings, diagrams and narratives
- Aid in the coordination of all disciplines related to the building design and health planning
- Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials
- Perform other duties as needed
Requirements
- Master's degree in Architecture
- Strong computer skills (AutoCAD, REVIT, Rhino, MS Office, Blue Beam)
- Architectural registration
- A minimum of 5 years of experience within the healthcare architecture field, with 3 years exclusively as a health planner
- Advanced credentials desired (e.g. ACHA, LEED, EDAC, etc.)
- Willingness to travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
- A minimum of 3 years experience in A/E industry
- Strong organizational skills
- Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings and models
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
- Knowledge of materials, methods and tools involved in the construction of buildings
Skills
Preferred qualifications include:
- Master's degree in Architecture
