Health Instructional Assistant II - 1.00 hrs - 2.00 hrs ***In-House Posting***

About the role

Under immediate supervision of certificated staff, assists in conducting intensified, positive learning experiences for students in assigned areas of study; performs a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for certificated personnel; and provides assistance as well as health care services to students with identified special health needs. Responsible to the Site Principal or Administrative Designee and Director of Special Education and Credentialed School Nurse for student health services.

Responsibilities

• Assist certificated staff in providing intensified, positive learning experiences for students.
• Perform clerical and supportive tasks for certificated personnel.
• Provide assistance and health care services to students with identified special health needs.
• Assist with changing diapers and cleaning up various types of bodily fluids.

Requirements

• CPR/First Aid Certification (online certification is not accepted).
• Proof of high school graduation.
• Pass the District’s adopted test with a satisfactory score.
• Willingness to work in a Moderate/Severe class, including changing diapers and cleaning bodily fluids.

Schedule

• Summerwind Trails School (2.0 hours): 6:30 am – 7:30 am, 1:50 pm – 2:50 pm
• Mountain View Middle School (1.25 hours): 6:45 am – 8:00 am
• San Gorgonio Middle School (1.80 hours): 7:30 am – 8:30 am; 3:00 pm – 3:58 pm
• Beaumont High School (2 positions): 7:50 am – 8:30 am; 3:15 pm – 4:35 pm
• Beaumont High School (1 position): 8:00 am – 8:30 am; 3:30 pm – 4:00 pm

This position will be assigned to different sites throughout the school year as student need arises.

Pay

$21.63 – $29.60 per hour (pay dependent on experience).
