About the Role
Under immediate supervision of certificated staff, assists in conducting intensified, positive learning experiences for students in assigned areas of study; performs a variety of clerical and supportive tasks for certificated personnel; and provides assistance as well as health care services to students with identified special health needs. This position may be assigned to a Moderate/Severe class and requires willingness to change diapers and clean up various types of bodily fluids. Responsible to the Site Principal or Administrative Designee and Director of Special Education and Credentialed School Nurse for student health services.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting intensified, positive learning experiences for students in assigned areas of study.
- Perform clerical and supportive tasks for certificated personnel.
- Provide health care services to students with identified special health needs.
- Assist in Moderate/Severe classrooms, including personal care tasks such as changing diapers and cleaning up bodily fluids.
Requirements
- CPR/First Aid Certification (online certification not accepted).
- Proof of high school graduation.
- Pass the District's adopted test with a satisfactory score.
- Willingness to work in various school sites throughout the district as student needs arise.
Qualifications
Current employment with Beaumont Unified School District is required. For internal candidates, include all relevant work experience related to this position, as screeners may not be familiar with your work history within the district.
Pay
$21.63 - $29.60 per hour, dependent on experience.
Schedule
193 days per school year, Monday to Friday. Specific work schedules vary by site and position:
- Anna Hause Elementary: 1 position, schedule TBD.
- Brookside Elementary School: 1 position, 7:25 AM - 1:55 PM.
- Palm Innovation Academy: 1 position, 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM.
- Starlight Elementary: 2 positions, schedules TBD (1), 7:25 AM - 1:55 PM (1), 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM (1).
- Sundance Elementary School: 2 positions, 8:10 AM - 2:40 PM, 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM.
- Three Rings Ranch: 1 position, 8:55 AM - 3:25 PM.
- Tournament Hills Elementary: 2 positions, 8:15 AM - 2:45 PM (1), 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM (2), 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM (1).
- Summerwind Trails Schools: 1 position, 7:45 AM - 2:15 PM.
- Beaumont High School: 3 positions, 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (2), 7:30 AM - 2:00 PM.
- Special Education: 3 positions, schedules TBD.
