Health Information Technology Specialist Player Coach Nationwide
About the role
We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Health Information Technology Specialist Player Coach to support an IQVIA pharmaceutical client partnership. This role blends direct field execution with team leadership and is responsible for driving operational excellence, coaching field team members, and serving as a key liaison between the client, the field team, and IQVIA leadership.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential gaps/barriers within EHR systems at priority IDN’s & Health Systems
- Problem solve and provide solutions and resolution of EHR gaps
- Identify workflow barriers and recommend scalable solutions
- Works collaboratively with customers including end users, licensed clinicians, IT informatics team, quality EHR Manager and analyst to provide meaningful insights to enhance patient care
- Align resources to develop comprehensive plans by priority institution
- Complete workflow assessments with institutional customers to identify potential gaps in care across the patient journey
- Develop and implement comprehensive customer specific plans
- Act as matrix team Health IT Specialist subject matter expert to both internal and external stakeholders with matrix partners across account management, medical, and other cross functional partners
- Share insights around optimizing EHR systems to address gaps in patient care including Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency Department
- Perform the core duties and responsibilities of the Health IT Specialist role while serving as a leader and coach to the field team, with an expected split of approximately 70% field responsibilities and 30% leadership responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the CV Health IT field team and act as the key liaison between the team and the Health IT Director for operational and personnel-related matters
- Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance support to Health IT Specialists to strengthen execution, professional growth, and alignment to business objectives
- Partner with the Health IT Director on recruiting, interviewing, and selecting new team members, as well as supporting onboarding and readiness of new hires
- Support completion of performance reviews and employee relations matters, including performance improvement and disciplinary processes, in partnership with leadership and Human Resources
- Maintain current knowledge of the Health IT functionality, including industry trends, EHR developments, customer needs, and competitive dynamics
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and IQVIA policies and procedures
- Complete administrative and reporting requirements accurately and on time, including documentation of Health IT activities and project updates as requested
- Travel up to 40–60% as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university required
- Minimum of 4 years working in design, build, and/or testing expertise and experience with EHR software, including: Epic, Cerner, Meditech, McKesson preferred; and/or within a Health System informatics group or team at leadership level, or similar role within a pharmaceutical company
- In depth knowledge of healthcare and health information technology, and software build, and/or optimization techniques
- Ability to discover issues, prioritize and problem solve to resolution
- Team player with the willingness/ability to work in a matrix environment

- Ability to consistently travel overnight

Pay
The potential base pay range for this role is $135,000 - $145,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
