Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as kinesiology, or exercise physiology, or relevant work experience can be used in place of degree.
EXPERIENCE: Required two years of direct fitness programming, specialty certificates or training in Yoga, Health Coaching. Experience working with first responders is preferred.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Lead group exercise classes, continuously monitoring and adjusting types of classes and times to meet the interest and needs of clients.
- Programming will include purpose based and functional fitness classes as well as traditional fitness classes appropriate to Endeavors Wellness Model.
- Create and manage client fitness programs and meal plans via the Fitness app.
- Promote and facilitate the use of a health coach and the fitness equipment in the fitness center.
- Schedule group classes for activities such as yoga, and health coaching sessions.
- Administer fitness/wellness screenings with clients; enters information into appropriate forms and secure database.
- Ensure all contracts, certifications and liability waivers are up to date.
- Develop individual comprehensive fitness program that addresses individual client’s needs and abilities in all levels of care without stigma or shame.
- Provide personal and group fitness instruction for clients, which includes equipment orientation, a personal fitness assessment and monitoring ongoing progress of clients.
- Assists clients in determining their own goals for movement and physical wellness, the clients understanding of how to best utilize gym equipment towards those goals, and modeling exercises for clients.
- Answers questions regarding programs offered through the Fitness Center and/or Endeavors services available to the clients.
