About the role
The Health IT Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in Health Information Technology (HIT), digital health, artificial intelligence (AI), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and healthcare workflow optimization. This customer-facing role partners with healthcare systems and cross-functional teams to identify opportunities where technology-enabled solutions can improve patient care, operational efficiency, and healthcare delivery. The Health IT Specialist conducts workflow assessments, gathers customer insights, and supports the adoption of approved digital health resources and innovative healthcare technologies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct EHR and healthcare workflow assessments to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and patient care optimization.
- Engage healthcare leaders, clinicians, informatics teams, and technology stakeholders to understand challenges and emerging needs.
- Provide expertise on approved digital health, interoperability, automation, AI-enabled, and EHR-based solutions.
- Gather customer insights to support healthcare technology strategy, resource development, and innovation initiatives.
- Partner with Account Teams and cross-functional stakeholders to support customer engagement, launch readiness, and health system transformation efforts.
- Serve as an internal expert on healthcare technology trends, EHR platforms, digital transformation, and workflow best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience in Health Informatics, Healthcare Technology, Clinical Informatics, Digital Health, EHR Optimization, Healthcare Operations, or a related field.
- Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Meditech, or equivalent systems.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Qualifications
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, MSN, MBA, MHA, MPH, Health Informatics, or related field).
- Experience with AI, healthcare analytics, interoperability, automation, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience engaging health systems, integrated delivery networks, or large provider organizations.
