HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGER

The Health Information Manager (HIM)

• Maintains patient records and operates the Health Information Management Department
• Serves as a resource on medical record content and regulatory requirements
• Affirms availability of medical records at all times
• Affirms duties are performed in accordance with facility policies and procedures, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and QAPI standards

Requirements

• Previous experience caring for adolescent patients is essential
• Med-Surg experience is a plus

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or experience in healthcare medical records management or other relevant field
• Licenses: None required
• Experience: 1-3 years in healthcare medical records
