About the Role

The Health Informatics, Quality & Compliance Manager provides leadership for the information systems, regulatory infrastructure, quality management programs, accreditation readiness, and continuous improvement efforts supporting Student Health Services. The position integrates health information technology, operational analytics, quality improvement, compliance monitoring, policy administration, and organizational performance measurement into a coordinated system that supports clinical excellence, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision-making.

This role serves as the primary administrator of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and is responsible for optimizing technology, data, workflows, and reporting systems that support high-quality patient care and organizational decision-making. The position also leads organizational efforts related to healthcare compliance, accreditation, quality improvement, policy administration, risk mitigation, and regulatory readiness.

Working collaboratively with medical, behavioral health, administrative, and business leadership, the Health Informatics, Quality & Compliance Manager develops systems that ensure Student Health Services operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with federal, state, university, and accreditation requirements. This position serves as the primary liaison with the Electronic Health Record vendor and provides oversight of outsourced credentialing and other compliance-related vendors to ensure contractual performance, operational effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for Student Health Services' electronic health record systems, health information governance, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, policy management, clinical analytics, and continuous organizational improvement.
  • Administer and optimize the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to support high-quality patient care and organizational decision-making.
  • Lead healthcare compliance, accreditation, quality improvement, policy administration, risk mitigation, and regulatory readiness efforts.
  • Develop healthcare reports and operational dashboards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with the EHR vendor and oversee outsourced credentialing and compliance-related vendors.
  • Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders to drive organizational improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare administration, health informatics, quality improvement, compliance, or healthcare operations.
  • Experience administering Electronic Health Record systems.
  • Experience developing healthcare reports and operational dashboards.
  • Experience with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Experience leading organizational improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Information Systems, Nursing, Health Information Management, Business Administration, or a closely related field. 4 additional years of experience (total of 9 years) may replace the need for a Bachelor's degree.
  • Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration (MHA), Public Health (MPH), Business Administration (MBA), or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience in ambulatory healthcare or student health services (preferred).
  • Experience with Medicat or comparable Electronic Health Record systems (preferred).
  • Experience with AAAHC accreditation (preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare quality improvement methodologies (preferred).
  • Experience with healthcare compliance and policy administration (preferred).
  • Experience working in higher education (preferred).

Pay

$58,689.00 + DOE
