Responsibilities

  • Understand the needs of various Beacon departments and how the various HDI tools can be utilized to meet those needs.
  • Utilize data engineering methodologies to pull complex data to support loading data into HDI.
  • Develop advanced analyses and ETL (extract/transform/load) processes with various tools.
  • Aid in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of healthcare for individuals and populations across the continuum of care through analytics solutions.
  • Update job knowledge by studying state-of-the-art/industry relevant tools, techniques, and equipment.
  • Work closely with executives, leadership, managers, service line leaders, and others to ensure accuracy and timeliness of reporting and success of assigned projects.
  • Develop and incorporate service line clinical, quality, and operational reports and databases utilized by leadership for insight generation.
  • Leverage and contribute to the evolution of standards for high quality documentation of data definitions, data transformations, and processes to ensure data transparency, governance, and security.
  • Define, document, and maintain integration standards such as naming conventions and coding standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 5+ years experience with relevant technology experience including: enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures for data and analytics, architecture designs, migrations, and technology management.
  • 5+ years experience with Oracle Health (formerly Cerner), Oracle Health Data Intelligence (HDI, formerly Healtheintent), including data onboarding, security, registries, HCCs (hierarchical condition categories), HealtheCare, and other modules.
  • 5+ years experience with cloud based data integration strategies.
  • 5+ years experience leading, managing, and delivering healthcare analytics technology engagements end-to-end with resources in multiple locations.

Skills

  • Knowledge of healthcare systems and data exchange standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant programming languages and technologies.
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
