About Our Client:The organization operates in the medical imaging informatics sector, focusing on supporting research and clinical functions related to radiology. It addresses challenges in data management, integration, and delivery to enhance research and clinical imaging programs. The team utilizes and advances the XNAT platform, an open-source tool, to provide effective and scalable solutions for medical imaging data. About the Opportunity:The DATA ARCHITECT role is responsible for developing, designing, and supporting informatics solutions that facilitate efficient data acquisition, storage, and sharing specifically for research and clinical imaging needs. The position involves implementing core functionalities and managing software releases for the XNAT platform, ensuring stability and performance to support institutional research and clinical users. This role contributes significant technical expertise to maintain and enhance the platform's capabilities. Responsibilities:Identify and pursue opportunities to improve data acquisition, storage, and delivery.Advise on data integration activities for current and upcoming projects.Research new data sources to meet customer needs.Facilitate effective data sharing across platforms.Develop and maintain data management practices and procedures.Provide scope and time estimates for data-related tasks.Evaluate project data requirements and recommend solutions.Develop and update data diagrams and models.Review and revise project code to improve data performance.Deliver stable and well-tested XNAT software releases regularly.Reduce backlog of defects and technical debt in core modules.Enhance platform capabilities to maintain research relevance.Serve as a technical contact for partners integrating with XNAT.Perform other assigned duties. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.Minimum 5 years of data-related work experience.Proficiency in PostgreSQL. Preferred Qualifications:Experience with XNAT platform development or administration.Knowledge of DICOM standards and medical imaging workflows.Experience in release management for production software platforms.Contribution to open-source projects, including code review and issue management.Ability to write test plans.Familiarity with Linux server administration, especially RHEL.Skills with AWS EKS, bioinformatics, change management, data architecture, software testing, technical consulting, and related technologies. Pay Range and Compensation Package:$84,200.00 - $148,500.00 annually, with individual rates based on qualifications, performance, equity, market rates, and budget.
