Data Architect (Remote)

About the role

This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will partner with business, technical, and operational stakeholders to build reporting, surface trends, and translate analysis into action. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen data-driven execution and help teams focus on the metrics that matter most within a Legal & Accounting environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the company’s enterprise data model for consistency across platforms
• Establish and enforce data governance and quality standards
• Define and maintain the data architecture roadmap in collaboration with leadership
• Manage and mentor the Data Engineer, setting priorities and supporting development
• Act as the main liaison for data architecture with Product, Operations, and Data Science teams
• Evaluate technology for AI solutions and data initiatives with enterprise applications
• Collaborate on integration standards to meet enterprise data model requirements
• Administer the Databricks environment alongside the Data Engineer
• Create and uphold data documentation standards for governance

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or a related tech field
• Experience designing enterprise data models in complex systems
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and quality methodologies
• Strong SQL DDL and DML proficiency
• Fluent in at least one programming language, preferably Python
• Familiar with platforms like Databricks, Salesforce, or Workday
• Proven leadership skills managing technical teams
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex data to non-technical audiences
• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) is a plus

Pay

$148,000 – $159,100 annually
