About the Role

We are partnering with a technology-led organization undergoing a significant data transformation initiative to identify an experienced Data Architect (Data Privacy Focused). This engagement offers the opportunity to shape the future-state architecture of a modern cloud data platform, ensuring privacy, governance, and AI readiness are embedded at the core of the design. Working closely with senior data and engineering stakeholders, you will be responsible for defining a scalable architecture that removes or minimizes customer personally identifiable information (PII) from analytical environments while maintaining business value and operational effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Design a target-state data architecture that minimizes or removes customer PII from analytics environments.
  • Define and implement a universal customer identifier strategy across the enterprise data estate.
  • Provide expertise on identity resolution, pseudonymization, and privacy-centric data warehouse design.
  • Develop a comprehensive migration strategy for existing warehouse tables and transformation models.
  • Define integration requirements between the data platform and identity translation services.
  • Assess the impact of architectural changes across reporting, analytics, and data products.
  • Establish approaches for managing data subject deletion requests within the proposed architecture.
  • Provide recommendations for integrating customer feedback and qualitative data sources.
  • Produce detailed architectural designs, migration plans, and implementation-ready documentation for engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience designing privacy-focused data architectures within enterprise environments.
  • Deep expertise in identity resolution, pseudonymization, and customer identity management.
  • Strong experience working with Snowflake and modern cloud-based data platforms.
  • Proven knowledge of dbt and large-scale data warehouse migration programs.
  • Experience delivering data governance, privacy, or regulatory compliance initiatives.
  • Ability to produce detailed technical documentation and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to balance governance, usability, and operational requirements.
