Data Architect (Data Privacy)

Harnham is partnering with a technology-led organisation undergoing a major data transformation initiative. We are seeking a Data Privacy Architecture Consultant to help define the future state of their cloud data platform.

About the role

This engagement focuses on designing a privacy-first architecture for a modern enterprise data platform. You will partner closely with data engineering and business stakeholders to define how customer identity should be managed while reducing the use of PII throughout analytical environments. The outcome will be a detailed architectural blueprint, migration roadmap, and implementation recommendations that internal engineering teams can execute.

Responsibilities

• Design a privacy-focused target state architecture for analytics and reporting environments
• Define approaches for customer identity resolution, pseudonymization, and universal identifiers
• Create migration plans for existing warehouse assets and transformation models
• Assess impacts across reporting, analytics, operational systems, and downstream data products
• Define integration patterns between identity management services and cloud data platforms
• Produce implementation-ready technical documentation and architecture artefacts

Requirements

Must Have

• Strong experience designing privacy-centric data architectures
• Expertise in identity resolution, pseudonymization, or customer identity management
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong dbt experience, including warehouse transformation and migration initiatives
• Experience delivering governance, privacy, or compliance-focused data programs
• Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI-readiness initiatives
• Exposure to customer identity platforms or MDM solutions
• Experience designing deletion workflows or data subject rights processes
• Background in regulated industries

Pay

$70 to $95 per hour

Schedule

• 6-month contract
• 40 hours per week
• Fully remote (United States)
