Health Center Director - Amityville/Copiague
About the role
Sun River Health is a Federally Qualified, Non-Profit Health Center serving communities in Suffolk, Rockland, Orange, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Columbia and Westchester County. Sun River Health is currently seeking a full-time Health Center Director to support our Amityville/Copiague sites.
Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and monitoring of site budgets.
- Serves as liaison between central administration and practice site(s).
- Works in collaboration with Site Medical Director, Site Dental Director, Nurse Manager, and Operation Manager to address clinical issues.
- Ensures adherence to performance standards and regulatory guidelines.
- Provides operational oversight for all services at the site(s), including, coordination of provider schedules and hours of operation.
- Maintains appropriate staffing levels at the site(s).
- Makes hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation decisions for administrative, clinical, and support staff at the site(s).
- Monitors monthly statistics and participates in the development and design of strategies to address areas in need of improvement.
- Represents SRH at meetings in the county(ies) in which the Health Centers are located.
- Serves on Regional Quality Improvement Committee and facilitates the implementation of Quality Improvement projects at the site(s).
Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree required
Minimum Work-Related Experience: 2-4 years
Preferred Specialized Skills & Knowledge: Bilingual in both English and Spanish (orally and written)
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
Strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and experience working in a healthcare setting.

$100,940.07 - $126,175.14 per year
