Health Care Specialist Tech

Responsibilities

• Performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner, including high flow chest wall oscillations devices, cough assists, INR monitors, and nebulizers
• Provides technical assistance with equipment
• May perform setup of all types of oxygen equipment
• Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to the patient need and company policy, frequently in patients' homes
• Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts
• Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA, DOT, FDA, and Emergency Planning
• Represents the company through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of written reports
• Facilitates prescription collection
• Maintains patient records in a complete and organized manner in compliance with company policy and accreditation standards

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and use of a personal vehicle

Schedule

Works on-call evenings and weekends on an as-scheduled basis, with frequency determined by the center size and the number of employees available to share in the responsibility. Must respond in a timely manner.
