Health Care Specialist Tech

About the Role

This employee performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner, including high flow chest wall oscillation devices, cough assists, INR monitors, nebulizers, and all types of oxygen equipment. The role also involves providing technical assistance with equipment and delivering patient education as an integral part of care, often in patients' homes.

Responsibilities

• Perform setup of respiratory and oxygen equipment in accordance with patient needs and Lincare policy.
• Provide technical assistance and patient education, frequently in home settings.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant therapy concepts.
• Adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the Safety & Regulatory Manual, including General Safety, OSHA (with proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, and Emergency Planning.
• Represent Lincare professionally through appearance, patient care activities, and written reports.
• Facilitate prescription collection and maintain complete, organized patient records in compliance with company policy and accreditation standards.
• Work on-call evenings and weekends as scheduled, with frequency determined by center size and staffing availability. Timely response is required.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and use of a personal vehicle.
